How to view your client relationships in Rise

This guide shows you how to see the status of your working relationships with each of your payers using the Clients tab, and what to do if you need to end one.

What is the Clients tab?

The Clients tab gives you a single place to see every payer you work with on Rise and where that relationship currently stands. From your sidebar, select Clients to open it.

At the top, you'll see a summary of your relationships:

  • Active – payers you're currently working with

  • Pending – relationships that are set up but not yet fully active

  • Ended – relationships that have been terminated

Below the summary, a table lists each client with:

Column

What it shows

Client

The payer's name

Started

The date the relationship began

Total paid

The total amount you've been paid by that client to date

Status

Active, Pending, or Ended

You can use the search bar to find a specific client, or the status and sort filters to narrow down the list. Select View next to any client to see more detail about that relationship.

Can I end a client relationship myself?

No. Contractors can't end a client relationship from their own account. If you'd like to stop working with a client, you'll need to reach out to that payer directly and request that they end the relationship on their end — Rise doesn't have a way to do this for you from the contractor side.

What happens after a relationship ends?

Once a payer ends the relationship, it doesn't disappear from your Clients tab. It stays visible with a status of Ended, along with the historical details (start date, total paid). This is intentional — it keeps a complete record for your own reference and for auditability, even though the relationship is no longer active.
