How Can I Get Paid on Rise?

If you're being paid through Rise — for example, by a proprietary trading firm, agency, or company you work with — the process is simple, and it only requires one piece of information from you: the email address linked to your Rise account.

What You Need to Share With Your Payer

To receive payments on Rise, all you need to give your payer (the company or client paying you) is:

  • Your Rise account email address

That's the only information required. Your payer will use this email to connect with you on the platform and send you payments.

What You Should NOT Be Asked to Share

You should never need to provide any of the following just to receive a payment:

  • Your Rise ID

  • Your wallet address or any "master wallet" information

  • Your passkey, login credentials, or any account security details

  • Bank account or card numbers, outside of Rise's own withdrawal setup

If a payer asks you for any of the above in order to pay you, that's not how Rise works.

The only thing ever required from your side is your account email. Sharing account identifiers, wallet details, or credentials with a third party is unnecessary and puts your account at risk — treat any request for this information as a red flag.

How the Payment Process Works

Once your payer has your Rise account email, here's what happens:

  1. Your payer sends you a team invitation on Rise, using your email address.

  2. You'll receive the invitation by email. If you already have a Rise account, you can also find it directly in your app — check your Action Items tab or the notification icon.

  3. Accept the invitation. This connects your account to your payer's team on Rise.

  4. If a services agreement is required (for example, a Professional Services Agreement), you and your payer will both need to review and sign it before payments can be processed. You'll be prompted for this in the action item tab after accepting the invitation.

  5. Once connected, your payer sends payments directly through Rise. No further action is needed on your end.

From there, you're in control of your funds: you can choose to receive payments in local currency, stablecoins, or cryptocurrency, and you can withdraw to a linked bank account or external wallet whenever you're ready.

FAQs

Do I need to create a Rise account before my payer invites me? No, you can accept an invitation and create your account at the same time if you don't already have one. If you already have an account, use the same email address that your payer will be using.

I can't find the invitation email — what do I do? Check your spam or promotions folder, and search your inbox for "Rise" or your payer's company name. If you already have a Rise account, you can also check your Action Items tab or notification icon directly instead of searching your email.

Someone asked me for my Rise ID or wallet address instead of my email — is that normal? No. The only information you should ever need to share to get paid on Rise is your account email. If someone asks for anything else, don't share it; reach out to Rise support if you're unsure.

Do I need to pay any fees to receive money? Receiving a payment itself is free. Fees only apply if and when you choose to withdraw funds, and vary depending on the withdrawal method.

What if my payer and I need to sign a contract first? Some payment relationships require a signed agreement (like a Professional Services Agreement) before funds can be sent. If this applies to you, you'll be prompted to review and sign it as part of accepting your invitation — payments won't process until both sides have signed.
