What Is a Rise ID and How to Create One

Learn what a Rise ID is, what it allows payers and payees to do, and how to create yours during onboarding.

What Is a Rise ID?

Your Rise ID is your digital payment identity on the Rise platform. It's what allows your team to send and receive payments and lets you manage your funds and workspace securely.

Once created, your Rise ID is used for all payment actions on your account. It cannot be transferred or reassigned.

What Your Rise ID Lets You Do

Your Rise ID unlocks different capabilities depending on your role.

For Payees

If you're receiving payments on Rise, your Rise ID enables you to:

  • Receive payments — your employer can send payments directly to your Rise ID

  • Withdraw your funds — move money to your bank account, crypto wallet, or DeFi destination

  • Track your earnings and history — view all incoming payments, pay cycles, and account activity

For Payers

If you're sending payments on Rise, your Rise ID enables you to:

  • Manage your workspace — oversee your team and payment operations in one place

  • Invite and manage members — add payees and control who has access to your workspace

  • View account history and reports — track all outgoing payments and generate financial reports

  • Configure workspace settings — customize how your team uses Rise

Without a Rise ID, your account setup is incomplete, and you won't be able to send or receive payments on the platform.

What's Included in Your Rise ID

Your Rise ID is automatically populated with the information you provided during onboarding:

  • Your full name

  • Your email address

  • Your country

  • Your timezone

You'll see a preview of your Rise ID card before you confirm creation. An example of RiseID: 0xA35b2F326F07a7C92BedB0D318C237F30948E425.

⚠️ Important: Your Rise ID is not a funding address

Your Rise ID looks like a wallet address, but it cannot be used to receive external transfers. Do not send cryptocurrency or any funds directly to your Rise ID — funds sent this way will be lost and cannot be recovered.

How to Create Your Rise ID

Creating your Rise ID is the sixth step in the Rise onboarding process (Step 6 of 7).

Step 1 — Reach the Rise ID screen

Complete the previous onboarding steps (accept terms, verify identity, create passkey, authorize signing, and sign your master services agreement). The Rise ID screen will appear automatically once those are done.

Step 2 — Review your Rise ID preview

You'll see a preview card showing your name, email, country, and timezone. Review these details to make sure everything is accurate.

If something looks wrong, contact Rise support before proceeding — your Rise ID details come from the information submitted during identity verification and cannot be freely edited after creation.

Step 3 — Click "Create Rise ID"

When you're ready, click the Create Rise ID button in the bottom right. Rise will generate your ID and link it to your account.

This only takes a moment. Once it's done, you'll move to the final onboarding step — choosing your workspace.

After Your Rise ID Is Created

Once your Rise ID is created and onboarding is complete, you'll see a confirmation screen. Your account is fully set up and your employer can begin sending you payments.

You can access your Rise ID and payment dashboard at any time by logging in and selecting your workspace.

Rise ID details are tied to your verified identity. If you need to make a change, reach out to the Rise support team — some updates may require re-verification.

Try refreshing the page and attempting again. If the issue persists, contact Rise support with your account email and a description of the error.
