The People section is your central directory of everyone connected to your account — contractors, employees, admins, and more. This is where you view, manage, and take action on each member.
This guide is for Payers and Account Admins only.
Viewing Your Members
When you open People, all account members are listed with the following details:
Name and email
Country and Worker Type
Salary, Pay Type, and Coverage
Onboarding Status — where each member is in their setup process

Use the icons in the top left to toggle between two views:
List view — a sortable table with all columns visible at a glance
Card view — a visual grid showing each member's name, verification badge, and wallet address

Understanding Onboarding Statuses
The Onboarding Status column is a team-level status — it tracks where an account member stands in their relationship with your specific account, not just with Rise overall.
Status | What it means | Who it applies to |
Invited | You've sent the invite, but the member hasn't accepted it or started onboarding yet. | All account members |
Onboarding | The member has accepted the invite and started onboarding, but hasn't completed all required steps. A member stays in this status until the final step — Rise ID creation — is done, even if KYC and document signing are already complete. | All account members |
Onboarded | The member has completed the full onboarding flow. This is the target state for active admin users (Account Admin, Account Viewer, Account Finance Admin, Account Payment Initiator). | Admin roles |
Payable | The member has completed onboarding and is ready to receive payments. This is the target state for active payees (Contractors and Employees). | Contractors, Employees |
Archived | The member has been deactivated from the account. No payments can be made to them, but their record is retained for reference. | All account members |
Terminated | Used in EOR and payroll contexts — the employee's working relationship with the company has formally ended. | Employees (EOR/payroll) |
💡 If a payee isn't showing as Payable, they likely have a pending step in their own Rise account. Ask them to log in and check their Action Items.
Taking Action on a Member
Click the ⋮ menu on any member row or card to access quick actions:
View — Open the member's full profile
Pay — Send a direct one-off payment to this member
Deactivate — Remove their active status from the account
Inside a Member's Profile
Clicking a member opens their Account Member summary page. The profile card on the left shows their worker type, wallet address, email, and country. You can click View Details to see a read-only snapshot of their personal information — name, email, phone, date of birth, address, and wallet.
🛠️ Personal details are provided by the member during onboarding and can only be edited by the member themselves.
The right side of the profile has three sections:
Account Member Settings
Toggle Withdraw Fee Coverage on or off for this specific member. When enabled, your account covers the withdrawal fees when this member withdraws their earnings. Click Save Settings after making any changes.
💡 Not sure what Withdraw Fee Coverage means? See: How to Enable Withdrawal Fee Coverage.
Payments
A monthly view of all payments associated with this member, split into two tabs:
Review — Payments pending your approval
Scheduled — Payments queued for a future date
Use the Pay Member button to send a one-off payment directly from this page. Use the arrow controls to navigate between months and review payment history.
Last Transactions
A chronological log of all past transactions for this member, showing date, action type, and amount.
Worker Types Explained
The Worker Type column tells you what role each member holds in your account:
Contractor — An independent contractor paid directly through Rise
AOR Contractor — A contractor engaged through Rise's Agent of Record service
Employee — A full-time employee managed through Rise's EOR payroll service
Account Admin — Has full access to manage the account
Account Viewer — Read-only access to the account
Account Finance Admin — Can manage financial settings and funding
Account Payment Initiator — Can initiate payments but has limited admin access
