Recovery Overview: What to Expect
Before following the step-by-step images below, here is a quick breakdown of how the recovery process works and how it affects your account.
1. Initiate Recovery
You’ll have a 6–8 hour window from the start time to receive a code via email, which you can then use to create your new passkey.
2. Complete your KYC
After receiving the code, head back to the RSK reset button to proceed and complete your KYC. Please note that IDs are not accepted as proof of Address. (POA).

3. Create your Passkey
Once you submit your KYC for verification, you'll be able to proceed and create a passkey.
⚠️ Important Note: To keep your funds safe, your new Passkey will be temporarily unavailable for payment authorizations during this short review window.
4. Wait for Approval
After you create your passkey, it will undergo a final security verification before the passkey is authorized for use. You'll receive an email notification the moment your Passkey has been authorized for use. This review typically takes 72 business hours or more, depending on the case.
⚠️ Important Note: The passkey replaces the RSK (Rise Security Key Password) and will be your newer and more secure way to verify it's you and authorize actions in your Rise account, such as withdrawals.
Follow these step-by-step instructions to recover your Passkey:

🛑 Important: Check Your Email to Complete Recovery
While the recovery framework is mostly automated, it requires two critical human checkpoints to safeguard your account.
Because of these security checks, you must monitor your email inbox for updates or action items. If you initiate this process and do not follow the instructions in the email, your recovery will stall.
Next Step: Keep an eye on your inbox.
If you haven't received an update or if your status hasn't changed within a reasonable window, please contact our Support team directly.
