How to Deactivate Your Account

We understand that you may wish to close/delete your account. To ensure the security of your data and remain compliant with financial regulations, we follow a specific process for account closure requests.

Account Deactivation vs. Deletion

According to our Privacy Policy, we do not delete account data immediately upon request. Instead, we deactivate your account.

While your account will be removed from our active databases and you will no longer have access to our services, we are required to retain certain information in our secure files. This is necessary to:

  • Prevent fraud and ensure platform security.

  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements (such as AML/KYC laws).

  • Enforce our Terms of Use and assist with any necessary investigations.


How to Request Deactivation

To begin the process, you must contact our support team directly via chat or at hello@riseworks.io. We do not currently offer a self-service "delete" button to ensure every request is handled with the necessary oversight.

  1. Contact Support: Reach out to us via the Help Center chat or our official support email.

  2. Verification: Our team will verify your identity to ensure the request is authorized.

  3. Escalation: Once verified, your request will be escalated to our Compliance Team.

  4. Confirmation: We will notify you once the deactivation process is complete.


Important Considerations

  • Service Emails: Even after opting out of marketing materials, we may still send you essential service-related emails necessary for the administration of your historical account data. You can unsubscribe from these emails.

  • Data Privacy: Any data retained is handled strictly according to the standards outlined in our Privacy Policy.
