Account Funding through Wire Transfer on Rise

Step-by-step instructions on how to fund your Rise account with a wire transfer

Updated over a week ago

Adding funds to your Rise account is a seamless process, and in this guide, we'll walk you through using the Wire Transfer option.

To begin, follow these simple steps:

Navigate to the "Fund" page, which can be easily accessed. Choose the external account that you intend to use. If you haven't added one yet, it's necessary. You'll need to link a bank account since you're opting for a wire transfer. If you're unsure how to do this, detailed instructions can be found here. This option should be visible on the Fund page.

Now, let's proceed with the wire transfer:

Within your banking website, follow the steps to initiate a wire transfer. Essential beneficiary information is available as you scroll down the page. This includes details like beneficiary name, account currency, and account number. Additionally, there's a unique set of alphanumeric characters known as the "Memo Code." This code allows Rise to associate incoming funds with your account. It's crucial to include this Memo Code in either the "Memo" or "Description" field during the transfer. Failing to do so might lead to delays in crediting your account and could even result in the funds being returned to the sender, accompanied by penalties.

Rise ensures that the funding process via wire transfers is both transparent and secure, offering clear instructions for a smooth experience.
