Onboarding New Team Members and Inviting Managers with Rise

Step-by-step guide on how to use the Talent Import Feature

Updated over a year ago

Welcome to Rise! This guide will walk you through onboarding new team members using Rise's Talent Import feature and inviting managers with Rise's Invite Manager feature. Let's get started!

Onboarding Team Members with Talent Import:

Access the Team Page

When you first visit the Team page in Rise, you will see an interface similar to the image below. This page displays your team members and their status.

Importing Talent(s)

Head to the "Import Talent" section to import new team members. You can easily add one or multiple team members at once by entering their email addresses. You can type each email individually in the email field or paste a list of emails in the designated area. After adding an email, click the "Add" button. Once you have all the emails added, select the "Import" option, and an invitation to join your Rise team will be sent to each email.

1- Confirmation of Invitation

After sending the invitations, you will receive a confirmation that the invitation emails have been sent. However, until the team member accepts the invitation, their card on the Team page will remain grayed out, indicating they still need to accept.

2- Acceptance Confirmation

Once a team member accepts the invitation, their card on the Team page will no longer be grayed out. This serves as confirmation that the invitation has been accepted. Any additional invitation recipients will be shown here, indicating whether they must create their Rise ID.

Inviting Manager(s)

Adding managers to your team is similar to onboarding team members. You can invite managers on the same page by clicking the "Invite Manager" button.

1- Manager Account Type

When inviting a manager, ensure that the email address belongs to an account with the "Send Payments" role rather than the "Receive Payments" role. Managers are responsible for paying the team; a "Payee" account cannot perform this.
