Your RiseID is your identity on-chain. It can represent an individual or an entity. It is a unique Smart Contract you own and that is able to interact with our fleet of smart contracts. Without it, you won't be able to identify yourself when trying to complete tasks on Rise such as Payments, Funding, Withdraw and Creating Pay Schedules.

Each RiseID has a Master Wallet, and can have Delegate wallets added to it. These wallets can approve the above tasks (aka sign transactions) via their RiseID. When this happens, we know it is you, and you only, interacting with our system. This effort adds a high security layer to our ecosystem.

A key task for a user when onboarding Rise is to create their RiseID. Here's how to do it with a Coinbase Wallet.

In order to add your Coinbase Wallet as your RiseID's Master Wallet, you simply have to do and make sure of the following:

  1. You have the Coinbase Wallet app installed on your phone. Here's the link to the site.

  2. Before creating your RiseID, connect your Coinbase Wallet to Rise. Here's how to do it:

First, click on Connect Wallet

Then, select Coinbase

You will then be asked to scan a QR code directly from your Coinbase Wallet app.

On your Coinbase Wallet app, click on the scan icon at the top right of your screen.

If your Coinbase Wallet is not already on the Arbitrum One network, you will be asked to switch networks by approving a message on the Coinbase Wallet app. Once you do, you should see that your Coinbase Wallet is connected to Rise.

You can now go to your RiseID tab and click on Create RiseID. Your Coinbase Wallet will be your RiseID's Master Wallet when you create it.

Congrats! You now have a RiseID created with a Coinbase Wallet as Master.
