Your RiseID is your identity on-chain. It can represent an individual or an entity. It is a unique Smart Contract you own and that is able to interact with our fleet of smart contracts. Without it, you won't be able to identify yourself when trying to complete tasks on Rise such as Payments, Funding, Withdraw and Creating Pay Schedules.

Each RiseID has a Master Wallet, and can have Delegate wallets added to it. These wallets can approve the above tasks (aka sign transactions) via their RiseID. When this happens, we know it is you, and you only, interacting with our system. This effort adds a high security layer to our ecosystem.

A key task for a user when onboarding Rise is to create their RiseID. Here's how to do it with a MEW Wallet.

In order to add your MEW (MyEtherWallet) as your RiseID's Master Wallet, you simply have to do and make sure of the following:

  1. You have MEW app installed on your phone or the extension installed on your browser. Here's the link to their site.

  2. Your MEW is on the Arbitrum One network.

  3. Before creating your RiseID, connect your MEW to Rise. Here's how to do it:

First, click on Connect Wallet

Then, select MEW wallet

You will then be asked to scan a QR code directly from your MEW mobile app

Once you scan it, you should see that your MEW is connected and your MEW mobile app should display a success message.

Once you see your MEW connected, you can go the RiseID tab and hit Create RiseID. Your MEW will be your Master Wallet when you create it.

Congrats! You now have a RiseID created with MEW as Master.
